What areas do you serve?

We serve Moon Township, Coraopolis, Sewickley, Robinson, Aliquippa, Beaver County, and nearby Pittsburgh-area communities.

Are you insured?

Yes. Handled Home is fully insured for handyman services, repairs, installations, and home projects.

Are you a registered contractor?

Yes. Our PA Contractor Registration number is T002900.

What types of work do you do?

We handle general home repairs, drywall repair, deck repair, door and trim repair, flooring installation, fixture installation, light handyman projects, punch-list work, and other home improvement tasks.

What kind of work do you not take on?

We may decline projects that are unsafe, outside our scope, require specialized licensing, or involve rushed work where the job cannot be done properly. We would rather be honest up front than take on work that is not a good fit.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. You can request a free estimate through the website, by phone, or by texting photos of the project to 412-353-5341.

Can I text photos for an estimate?

Yes. Photos are often the fastest way for us to understand what you need. Send clear photos of the problem area, a wider photo of the room or space, and any materials you already purchased.

How fast do you respond?

We try to respond as quickly as possible. Response times can vary depending on current jobs, but clear project details and photos usually help us get back to you faster.

Do I need to be home for the estimate or work?

It depends on the project. Some estimates can start with photos. For work inside the home, someone usually needs to provide access and confirm the project details.

Do you do same-day work?

Sometimes, depending on the schedule and the type of project. Smaller repairs may be easier to fit in quickly, while larger projects usually need to be scheduled in advance.

Materials & Homeowner-Supplied Items

Can I provide my own materials?

Yes. Homeowners can provide materials such as fixtures, flooring, vanities, fans, faucets, or other project items. We may still need to provide fasteners, fittings, adhesives, trim, or miscellaneous supplies depending on the job.

What happens if the item I bought does not fit?

If a homeowner-supplied item does not fit or is not compatible, we will explain the issue and discuss options. Additional work, different materials, or a replacement product may be needed.

Do you pick up materials?

Material pickup depends on the job and should be discussed before scheduling. Larger pickups, special trips, or extra material handling may affect pricing.

Do you warranty homeowner-supplied products?

We warranty our workmanship, but we do not warranty manufacturer defects, product failures, or missing/damaged parts from homeowner-supplied materials.

Pricing & Payments

How do you price jobs?

Pricing depends on the scope of work, difficulty, materials, access, time involved, and any unknown conditions. We try to be clear about what is included before work begins.

Do you charge by the hour or by the project?

It depends on the work. Many jobs are priced by project, while some small repairs or open-ended punch-list work may be better handled differently.

Can the price change after work starts?

Yes, but only if the scope changes, hidden damage is found, materials are different than expected, or additional work is requested. Any work outside the original scope should be discussed before moving forward.

Do you require deposits?

Some projects may require a deposit, especially if materials need to be purchased or time needs to be reserved for a larger job.

Do you repair decks?

Yes. We handle deck board replacement, stair repairs, railing repairs, framing concerns, partial rebuilds, and deck upgrades depending on the condition and scope.

Do you repair drywall?

Yes. We repair drywall holes, cracks, ceiling damage, water-damage patches after leaks are fixed, and paint-ready drywall finishes.

Do you install flooring?

Yes. We install vinyl plank and laminate flooring, handle transition strips, thresholds, and related trim details.

Do you repair doors and trim?

Yes. We repair sticking doors, loose hinges, damaged trim, molding, baseboards, door casing, and other finish details.

Do you install light fixtures and ceiling fans?

Yes, we handle many light fixture and ceiling fan replacements. Existing wiring and box support need to be suitable for the new fixture or fan.

Do you do plumbing or electrical work?

We handle certain minor plumbing and fixture-related tasks, and some basic fixture replacements. We do not take on work that requires a specialized licensed trade beyond our scope.

How should I prepare for the appointment?

Clear the work area, move fragile items, secure pets, and make sure someone can provide access. If materials are homeowner-supplied, have them ready and available.

Should I send photos before scheduling?

Yes. Photos help us understand the project and may save time. For best results, send both close-up photos and wider photos showing the full area.

What if there is hidden damage?

Hidden damage, concealed conditions, rot, water damage, bad framing, or previous poor repairs may change the scope. We will discuss what we find and what needs to happen next.
